Chapter 3: About UCS server management
Details
1. Select the Server tab and then the
Service Profile Template icon you
created in Task 11.
2. Select the General tab in the right
pane.
3. Click Change UUID under
Actions.
4. Select Hardware Default for UUID
Assignment.
5. Click OK.
In the "Create Service Profiles From
Template" dialog, for Number of
Instances, type 1.
You right-click each server and select
Associate Service Profile. It can take
several minutes for the process to
complete.
Note:
You must create a new Service Profile
for each server you add. Associating
a Service Profile to a new server
disassociates it from the server to
which it is currently associated.
The Virtual Console provides access
to advanced server options. You
can manually specify individual IP
addresses or create an IP Pool to
configure a block (range) of addresses.
■ Individual: Select Equipment tab >
expand Servers > select the UCS
C240 M4SX server. Then, select
Inventory tab > CIMC tab > Modify
Outband Static Management IP.
■ IP Pool: Create a block of IPv4
addresses on the default IP Pool IP
Pool ext-mgmt.
