13 Troubleshooting guide

Problem
Various programmes not shown in
programme list
Sound OK, no TV picture
Programmes such as Pro 7, Sat 1,
Kabel 1, DSF and 9live show
interference
Receiver cannot be operated
Remote control not working
Intermittent appearance of square
blocks in picture. Occasionally
switches to freeze frame, no sound.
Screen intermittently black with
message „No signal"
No picture, no sound,
display on
No picture, no sound,
no display
No reception of programmes that
were previously in order
Antenna cannot be rotated

Incorrect programme list selected
Set to radio mode
Interference from DECT cordless

Solution
Select different programme list (see
Point 7.2.3.1)
Switch to TV mode
Increase distance between base
station and receiver
Pull mains plug for approx. 5
seconds, then switch receiver on
again
Replace batteries
Set correct remote control code
(Point 6.2.3)
Remove snow from dish
Adjust antenna
Use larger antenna
Mount dish with unobstructed line of
sight
Switch receiver off, fix short circuit,
switch receiver on again
Check all cable connections
Exchange LNB
Correct setting
(see Point 6.4)
Adjust antenna
Check mains cable and plug
connections
Check antenna
Perform search/scan (see Point 9.4)
