Operating the foot controller
The change of mode is effected by activating the slow-mo-
tion/standstill picture switch-over (
controller.
The switched-on mode is shown at the unit in the display for
slow motion or,
in the other case, in the display for the standstill picture.
If the rocker (
, fi g. 9 + 10 ) is pressed with the heel down to
the heel-side stop, the fl ashlight is switched-off.
In the remaining setting path, the unit works in the automatic
mode. This means, that during phonation of the patient the
fl ashligth triggers immediately on the phonation. There is a
switch-over between pilot light and fl ashlight depending on
phonation. For switching off the fl ashlight, the rocker has to
be pressed down to the heel-side stop.
In automatic mode the rocker is used in standstill picture mode
for adjusting the phase (continuously 0 to 380° phase shifting
will all frequencies) and in
slow-motion mode for adjusting the slow-motion frequency
(0.5 to 2 Hz).
If the rocker is pressed down with the tip of the toe up to the
toe-side stop, in both modes (slow motion/standstill picture) the
triggering is switched off by the microphone. Simul-taneous-
ly, the time limit of the pilot light is turned off, thus making
it possible to use the adjusted basic frequency as a sort of
"continuous light".
Attention: This "continuous light mode" is only to be used
for inserting the laryngoscope/fl exible endoscope
but not for continuous operation (compare with
Technical Specifi cations).

All functions of the Endo-Stroboscope L can be checked by
means of the test key (
cy of 256 Hz derived from a quartz oscillator. This allows a
check of the frequency display (must show 256 ± max. 1 Hz
with the key pressed down) as well as of the foot controller
functions described and including the fl ash lamp.

Service de la pedale de réglage
Le changement de mode de service s'effectue en appuyant
avec le pied sur le commutateur ralenti/image fi xe (
9 + 10) de la pédale de réglage.
Le mode de service commuté apparaît à l'appareil à l'affi chage
ralenti ou, dans l'autre cas,
à l'affi chage pour image fi xe.
Si la bascule (
, illustr. 9 + 10) est abaissée avec le talon
jusqu'à la butée côté cheville, le fl ash est hors-service.
Pour le reste du réglage, l'appareil fonctionne en mode auto-
matique. Ceci signifi e que lors de la phonation du patient, le
fl ash réagit immédiatement à la phonation. Il commute entre
lumière pilote et fl ash en fonction de la phonation. Pour met-
tre la fonction fl ash hors service, appuyer sur l'interrupteur à
bascule jusqu'à la butée côté talon.
Au mode automatique, la bascule sert au réglage de phase
en service image fi xe (permanent de 0 à 380° déplacement
de phase pour toutes les fréquences) et
en service ralenti au réglage de la fréquence ralenti (0,5 à
2 Hz).
Si la bascule est abaissée avec la pointe du pied jusqu'à la
butée à côté d'orteils, le déclenchement sera déactivé dans
les deux modes (slow motion/standstill) par le microphone.
En meme temps, la limitation de temps pour la veilleuse est
éteinte afi n que la fréquence fondamentale ajustée puisse être
utilisée comme une sorte de "lumière continue".
Attention: ce mode de lumière continue devrait être utilisé uni-
quement pour l'insertion du laryngoscope / endoscope fl exible,
mais pas pour une fonctionnement continu (à comparer avec
les caractéristiques techniques).

A l'aide de la touche-test (
l'Endo-Stroboscope L peut être testée à l'aide d'une fréquence
déviée à partir d'un oscillateur à quartz de 256Hz. Elle permet
de contrôler l'affi chage de fonction (doit indiquer 256 ± 1 Hz
lorsque la touche est pressée) tout comme les fonctions pédale
de réglage décrites, jusqu'à la lampe fl ash.
