OPERATION

Please check the product contents immediately after receipt for any eventual transport damage or
missing parts. Claims from transport damage or missing parts must be placed immediately after
initial machine receipt and unpacking before putting the machine into operation. Please
understand that later claims cannot be accepted anymore.
10.1

Assembly

Assemble the handle over the exposed shaft of the geared handle and
tighten the bolt
10.2

Cutting

1. Adjust the clearance between the upper blade and the lower blade.
To decrease the clearance, turn the adjusting bolts clockwise. To
increase clearance, turn the bolts counter clockwise. The clearance
can be adjusted to appr. 1/5 of the thickness of the workpiece.
2. To gain power and control of the workpiece, start all cuts at the
heel of the blades. Circular and irregular cuts are made by turning the
workpiece while following through with the downward stroke of the
blade.
3. When a cut has been finished, push the workpiece forward while
raising the handle to lift the blade above the workpiece. Start the
next cut at the heel of the blade.
4. Always keep the material being cut flat on the bed of the shear.

Keep your work area dry and tidy! An untidy work area may cause
accidents. Avoid slippery floor!
Make sure the work area is lighted sufficiently!
Mount the HS 100FLEX by driving the 4 mounting bolts (not included)
through the mounting holes, into your workbench
Always stay focused when working. Reduce distortion sources in your
working environment. The operation of the machine when being tired, as
well as under the influence of alcohol, drugs or concentration influencing
medicaments is forbidden!
Use personal safety equipment: safety shoes S1, work wear, safety

gloves (EN 388, class 3111) when working with or on the machine!

