7 Reprocessing methods according to DIN EN ISO 17664

7.1 General care instructions

Product damage due to improper disinfection.
Malfunctions.
▶ Use disinfectant in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions!
▶ Only disinfect by wiping!
▶ Do not immerse product or product parts in liquids!
Damage to the paint surfaces as well as plastics can arise from the wide variety of
medicines and chemicals used in the dentist's office.
Tests have shown that there is no surface protection available that works with all com‐
mercially available agents.
As damage to the surface by these agents is very much dependent on the exposure
time, it is essential to wipe the affected areas using a moist cloth.
Any residue arising from disinfectants can be cleaned to a certain degree on painted
and plastic surfaces using neutral, nonabrasive rinses and cleansers.
New painted surfaces that still cause water to bead can be cleaned with water and
nonabrasive, mild cleansers.

7.2 Cleaning and disinfection
