5. Installation
The tasks described in this section may only be
carried out by a qualified electrician.

Choice of location

The device is solely intended for installation on a wall. A
suitable location meets the following requirements:
„ Networked devices are in sufficient proximity to each
other (up to 300 m).
„ Technical data and mains data are the same.

„ The mobile network for the connection to the Backend
system is fully available at the location.

Danger of injury and fire
If the device is operated in potentially explosive atmos-
pheres (explosive area), explosive substances may ignite
due to sparking of components of the device.
f Do not use the device in potentially-explosive atmos-
pheres (e.g. at gas filling stations).

Device damage due to unsuitable ambient conditions
An unsuitable choice of location may cause damage to the
device. Please note the following points when choosing a
location:
f Avoid direct sunlight.
f Avoid penetration of water.
f Avoid heat accumulation.
f Ensure adequate ventilation of the device. Do not install
in niches.
f Keep the device away from heat sources.
f Protect the device from direct water jet.
