10 Inverter
The ECW-012VS inverter only belongs to the scope of delivery of the
devices EC-1500-AC/DC and EC-2000-AC/DC.

10.1 General safety and installation instructions

The following safety measures should be adhered to both for the
installation and use of the inverter, as means of protection from
Electric shock
Fire hazard
Injury
Irreparable damage to the device
Caution, danger of short circuiting!
When working on the vehicle, the earth connection to the supply battery
must be disconnected first and then the connection to the starter battery!
The inverter may only be used for the purpose specified by the
manufacturer.
The device must be switched off when working on the inverter. All
connections to the 230 V power supply and 12 V battery must be cut off.
The inverter may only be operated if the device and all electrical cables
are undamaged.
The device must be installed in such a manner that it cannot fall down,
fall over or move while the vehicle is in motion. Fasten the device and
install the cables accordingly.
The installation must be performed in such a way that children have no
access to it.
The inverter may not be operated in damp or wet environments.
Explosive environments should also be avoided.
Ensure good ventilation. The inverter produces dissipated heat which
has to be diverted appropriately.
The 12 V connection cables are designed for high currents. It is not
advisable to modify the cable unless an electrician decides to do so.
Maintenance and repair work may only be carried out by qualified
personnel who are familiar with the risks involved and the relevant
regulations.
