Installation
Please observe the statics of the vehicle and the sealing of all openings
made during the installation when installing the roof air conditioner.
Removing the roof hatch
– see Fig. 2 on page 3 and see Fig. 3 on page 3 –
➤ Remove all screws and fixtures of the existing roof hatch.
➤ Take out the roof hatch.
➤ Remove the sealant around the opening using a scraper or something
similar.
➤ Use a sealant to seal the bore holes.
Dispose of all waste material, glue, silicone and seals separately.
Observe the disposal guidelines in the process.
5.2.3 Adjusting the air distributor unit
– see Fig. 6 on page 4 –
In order to install the roof air conditioner so that it fits perfectly, you must
adjust the depth of the air distributor unit (see Fig. 7 on page 5, A) to the
thickness of the roof of your vehicle. The air distributor unit (see Fig. 6 on
page 4, A) is delivered for installation roofs between 38 mm and 42 mm
thick. If the roof is thicker or thinner, you must adjust the air distributor unit
to the fastening frame (see Fig. 6 on page 4, B) of the system:
➤ Undo the 6 fastening screws (see Fig. 6 on page 4).
➤ Adjust the depth of the air distributor unit as required.
When adjusting the air distributor unit, note that the roof air conditioner
moves 8-10 mm downwards when you tighten the fastening screws.
➤ Use the holes provided for fastening the air distributor unit.
