Effective
When connecting CRT monitors or projectors to A
cause burn-in effects. To avoid this, Orbiting rotates the Windows NT or Windows 2000 desktop
around on the connected CRT devices with the steps specified in seconds.
With Orbiting enabled the standard resolutions are reduced by 16 pixels on horizontal and vertical
direction. A desktop of 1280×960 pixels is thus reduced to 1264×944 pixels. The least permissible
resolution is 800×600 (784×584) pixels, because a reduced VGA display would fall below the
minimum Windows NT or Windows 2000 desktop with 640×480.
Grayscale mode
With this option selected the display driver offers a single 8 bpp format with a fixed palette con-
taining up to 256 shades of gray (linear or gamma corrected).
