3.2 Installing the lifting station

3.2.1 Location

Install the product in a location that meets the following requirements:
Make sure that the location is properly lit.
Make sure that the location is properly vented.
Make sure that there is at least 60 cm free space around the product.
We recommend that you install a drainage pump in a pump sump below floor level if you
install the lifting station in a basement with the risk of penetrating groundwater. In some
countries, a drainage pump or only a pump sump is required. We also recommend that you
install a separate float switch next to the lifting station and connect it to terminals 13 and 14
of LC 221. If the float switch is activated, the controller gives an acoustic alarm, the display
shows the external alarm EXTERN, a red LED flashes, and the common fault relay is activa-
ted.
The lifting station may be flooded maximum 2 metres for seven days.
