5.3.2 Pumps

The pumps are standard wastewater pumps with supporting feet for horizontal installation. The
pumps come in two versions:
Multilift system
MD1
MDV

5.3.3 Operating modes

SE pumps
Continuous operation: The pump runs continuously.
Intermittent operation: Within a duty cycle of 1 minute, the pump must be stopped for 30
seconds to cool down.
SL pumps
Intermittent operation: Within a duty cycle of 1 minute, the pump must be stopped for 30
seconds to cool down. The maximum ambient temperature is 30 °C.
We recommend maximum 30 starts per hour for both pump types. However, 60 starts per hour
within a two-hour period at peak load are allowed. The purpose is to minimise wear of the shaft
seal, bearings and motor.
For further information, see the installation and operating instructions for the pumps.

5.3.4 Motor protection

A thermal switch is incorporated in the motor windings. A motor-protective circuit breaker is incor-
porated in the control cabinet, and the controller has an additional current measurement function.
