4. Close the CAP. The lock automatically engages.
Notes:
The host software determines what happens when you enter a cartridge
upside down or with an unreadable label. Under normal conditions, the
camera on the hand audits the CAP and recognizes that a cartridge is
present, but the hand does not move it. You must remove the cartridge from
the CAP and correct the problem.
For some systems, you are prompted to type in a label number when no
VOLSER is read. If you do type in a label number, you might cause a
problem during an audit, because the camera still cannot read an
unreadable VOLSER on the cartridge.
