Operating the Citrus Juicer

Important: During operation, pulp builds up in the filter basket. Do not allow the filter basket
or juice container to overfill. Otherwise, the juice will not be sufficiently separated from the pulp.
If you process a large amount of fruit, regularly interrupt juicing and unplug the appliance to let
the motor cool down and to empty the filter basket. Ensure, that the spout will not block during
operation. Do not leave any food dry on the appliance or any parts of the appliance.
WARNING: Before connecting to the power supply, always ensure, that the appliance is
assembled properly and that there are no utensils in the filter basket. Do not insert your hands,
cooking utensils or any other objects (i.e. hair, clothes, brushes, tissue) in the filter basket, when
the appliance is connected to the power supply. Do not place the appliance on wet or damp
surfaces. Always keep the table or counter dry and clean. Do not drip or spill any liquids on the
motor base or power cord. Do not place any tissue or similar materials under the motor base
to avoid fire and electric shock. When liquids are spilled over or under the motor base than
immediately unplug the appliance and dry the motor base and the table or counter.
1. Place a jug or a suitable large cup or drinking glass under the spout.
2. Cut the fruit in half, using a sharp knife. It is good advice to cut the fruit at right angles to the
filets.
WARNING: Do not touch the juice cone with your hands or grasp in the filter basket while the
appliance is connected to the power supply.
3. Plug the power connector into a 220-240V AC wall power outlet.
4. With the cut facing down place a half of your fruit on the juice cone and gently press down.
The juice cone starts rotating and begins the juicing process. For best results, adjust the hold on
the fruit to ensure, that all parts of the fruit flesh are squeezed and push the juice cone gently
and slowly down without violation.
CAUTION: Do not put excessive pressure on the juice cone. Otherwise the motor starts getting
louder and the speed of the motor decreases during operation. In addition, the white bitter skins
of the fruit will be scraped from the shell. Ensure that the spout is not blocked during operation.
Do not allow the juice container to overfill.
To increase the stability of the jug or cup and to keep your table or counter clean and dry, you
may use suitable coaster.
To prevent dripping and spilling of juice, it is possible to seal the spout during juicing and collect
the juice in the juice container. The juice container has a capacity of max. 200 ml (1 drinking
glass or 1 medium-sized cup).
CAUTION: Do not to overfill the juice container.
Close the spout: lift the spout upwards until it settles with a click.
Empty the juice container: Place a suitable vessel under the spout and gently push down the
spout to open the seal and empty the juice container.
5. The motor stops automatically when the fruit is removed from the juice cone. You may process
another fruit half beginning with step 4.
WARNING: Always unplug the appliance, before removing the pulp from the filter basket or
disassembling the appliance or moving the appliance.
