General safety information

Note
Loss of the safety function
If measures for handling "common cause failures" (CCF) are not observed, or if
possible faulty statuses are not discovered as a result of insufficiently per-
formed diagnostics, the safety function of the control block can be impaired.
S Make sure that the described measures for handling "common cause fail-
ures" (CCF) are observed and that the diagnostic coverage (DC) is reached
(see chap. 2 and chap. 13).

Loss of the safety function
Non-compliance with the technical data can lead to loss of the safety function.
S Comply with the technical data.
Note
Danger of injury through squeezing and pushing
If solenoid valves are disconnected from the power supply when energised, the
movable parts of the drive components (cylinders, motors, etc.) can execute
uncontrolled movements.
S Make sure the drive components are in a secure position before carrying out
any work on the electrical equipment.
