IMPORTANT!
If you will be using the
AutoLock:
Do not pull the vehicle belt
all the way out to lock it before
routing the belt.
This will make threading the
shoulder belt into the AutoLock
easier.
If you will not be using the
AutoLock:
Review pages 19-22 and your
vehicle owner's manual to
determine what kind of vehicle
belt you have and how to lock a
child restraint in place.
Route the Vehicle Belt
Thread the vehicle belt
into the
Forward-Facing
Belt Path
opening.
Pull it across the seat. Then
thread it through the other belt
path opening as shown.
Do not twist belt.
Buckle the Vehicle Belt

Tighten Belt
Place hand in child restraint.
Firmly push child restraint
down while pulling the
shoulder belt or the free end
of the lap belt parallel with
the belt path through the belt
path opening as shown.
Go to the Side of the
Car Seat That Does Not
Have the Vehicle Buckle
No Vehicle Buckle
Locate AutoLock
Slide only the shoulder
portion of the belt through
the AutoLock as shown.
Pull it up until you cannot pull
it any farther.
