If it moves more than 2.5 cm (1 in.), you can try:
A. Pulling the belt tighter.
B. Reinstalling the child restraint.
C. Changing to a different seating location.
D. Switching to vehicle belt installation.

Check Belt Tightness
Hold child restraint at the belt
path with your weaker hand.
Push and pull from side to
side.
It should not move more than
2.5 cm (1 in.).
Recheck Rear-Facing
Recline Angle Indicator
Make sure the angle
indicator ball is in the
blue
zone.
Redo the installation if not
reclined correctly.
NOTE: You may need to place
a tightly rolled towel(s) or
foam pool noodle(s) under
the front of the base to help
achieve the correct recline.
Check often to be sure
padding is still in place and
the belt is tight.
Replace the Car Seat

Pad Around the Front
of the Car Seat
Pull harness adjustment strap
through slot in pad as shown.
Replace cupholders if they
have been removed.
Finished!
Check the tightness of the install
often to make sure it has not
loosened.

Check your child's fi t often and
make any needed adjustments
to the car seat as they grow.
