This section provides Type Codes for intelligent detectors and monitor modules. For
instructions on programming Type Codes, refer to "How to Modify or Delete a Point

Type Codes for Input Devices

Function
Ionization detector (CPX series)
Assign to an ion detector that is used as a duct
detector to report a supervisory condition rather
than an alarm
Photoelectric smoke detector (SDX series)
Assign to a photo detector that is used as a duct
detector to report a supervisory condition rather
than an alarm
Laser smoke detector (LPX series)
Assign to one or more LPX-751 detectors used to
monitor the quality of air entering the protected
area. The air quality measurement allows the
VIEW system to compensate for vehicle fumes,
fog, or other particles brought into the protected
area through the ventilation system. Poor air
quality will lower the sensitivity of all LPX-751
detector on the SLC. The detector sensitivity,
however, remains within approved limits (always
less than 1% obscuration per foot).
Multisensor smoke detector (IPX series)
Heat detector (FDX series)
