40 verfügt über folgende
Sicherheitseinrichtungen.
6. 8. 1 Selbsttest
Die Selbstprüfung wird bei jedem Einschalten des
Geräts durchgeführt (hierzu muss das Gerät mit
Gas versorgt sein). Fällt einer der Tests negativ
aus, wird eine entsprechende Fehlermeldung
angezeigt und der bestimmungsgemäße Gebrauch
ist nicht mehr möglich.
Folgende Komponenten werden geprüft:
• Dichtheitstest des Systems (Ventile)
• Überprüfung der Druckerfassung
• Überprüfung der Flowerfassung
6. 8. 2 Überwachung während des
Betriebs
• Überdruck: Sobald der intrakorporale Druck
während der Insufflation den eingestellten
Sollwert für mehr als 3 Sekunden um ein vom
Sollwert abhängiges Limit übersteigt, ertönt ein
akustisches Informationssignal (siehe Kapitel
9.1.2) und die Gaszufuhr wird eingestellt. Nach
einer einstellbaren Zeit (5...99 Sekunden) wird
der Überdruck durch ein Entlüftungsventil aktiv
abgebaut.
• Betriebsartspezifische Drucküberwachung
• Kontrolle des Gasvorrats
Wenn das System das Fehlen von CO
-Gas

»erkennt«, gibt es ein optisches Signal.
• Kontrolle der Gasvorheizung
Die interne Gasvorheizung wird unabhängig
von der Regelung durch einen zweiten Kreis
überwacht. Im Fehlerfall wird die Heizung
abgeschaltet.

Safety features
The ENDOFLATOR
®
40 has the following safety
features.
6. 8. 1 Self-test
A self-check procedure is performed each time
the device is switched on (for this the device must
be supplied with gas). If the test is negative, a
corresponding error message is shown and the
device can no longer be used as normal.
The following components are tested:
• Leakproofness of the system (valves)
• Checking pressure measurement
• Checking flow measurement
6. 8. 2 Monitoring during operation
• Overpressure: If, during insufflation, the
intracorporeal pressure rises above the set
setpoint value by a limit dependent on the
setpoint value for more than 3 seconds, an
acoustic information signal sounds (see chapter
9.1.2) and the gas supply is stopped. After a
time period which can be set (5...99 seconds),
the overpressure is actively reduced via a blow-
off valve.
• Mode-specific pressure monitoring
• Monitoring of gas supply
If the system recognizes a lack of CO
gas, an

optical signal is displayed.
• Monitoring of gas preheating
The internal gas preheating is monitored by a
second circuit, independently of the control. If a
fault arises the heating is switched off.
