Although this is a standard analog RGBHV output, it is only meant to be used by another Solaris displays.
The output signals are not CRT-compatible, so they may not display correctly on a standard monitor

RS232 IN/OUT
What can be connected to the RS232 IN connection ?
The RS232 IN connection allows the Solaris LC40 to communicate with a computer e.g. IBM PC or Apple Macintosh.

Applications of the RS232 connection
Remote control:

easy adjustment of LCD panel via IBM PC (or compatible) or MAC connection.

RS232 address range from 0 to 255.
•
allow storage of multiple LCD panel configurations and set ups.

wide range of control possibilities.

To make a loop through connection with other Solaris LC40's.
4.4.2
LAN connection
What can be done?
The Solaris LC40 can be connected to a LAN (local area network) (ethernet). Once connected to the LAN, users are capable of
accessing the LCD panel from any location, inside or outside their company network by using a simple TCP/IP protocol.
The second LAN connector permits to loop through to the next panel in the chain. Each panel in the chain needs a unique IP address.
