Can I use the Spectrum in my amp's effects loop?
The audio inputs can handle up to 8.2 dBu or 5.6 Volts peak-to-peak, which allows them to work in
most amp effects loops. In order to avoid clipping, be sure to check your amp's documentation and
verify that the maximum send level is less than 5.6 Volts peak-to-peak.
How do I update the firmware?
Firmware updates are achieved using the Neuro Desktop Editor. Download the latest version of
Neuro Desktop Editor from the Source Audio Downloads page. Open the updated Neuro Desktop and
connect the Spectrum to a computer using a mini USB cable. If the Spectrum is in need of an update
the Firmware Updates icon (the arrow icon) in the Connections field will be framed in yellow. Simply
click on the Firmware Updates icon you will be prompted through the process.
Mac Gatekeeper
Mac users may see this warning message when trying to open the updater software: "App can't be
opened because it was not downloaded from the Mac App Store." In order to run the updater, please

Rubber Feet

The Spectrum Intelligent Filter comes standard with a flat aluminum bottom, making it easy to apply
Velcro and mount to a pedalboard. Additionally, adhesive rubber feet are included in the Spectrum's
box. Applying the rubber feet to the bottom of the pedal can help prevent it from sliding on flat
surfaces such as a hardwood floor.

Waste Disposal Notes

If possible, dispose of the device at an electronics-recycling center. Do not dispose of the device with
the household waste.
For full compliance with EN 61000-4-6 standard, input cable must be less than 3 meters in length.
