Opening and closing
Problem
The side windows cannot be opened or
closed using the convenience opening
feature.

& WARNING Risk of becoming trapped
while opening and closing the sliding
sunroof
During opening and closing, parts of the
body could get caught in the sweep of the
sliding sunroof.
Possible causes/consequences and
If a side window is obstructed during closing and reopens again slightly:
Immediately after the window is blocked, pull the corresponding switch again until the side window has
#
closed, and hold the switch for an additional second.
The side window will be closed with increased force.
If a side window is obstructed again during closing and reopens again slightly:
Repeat the previous step.

The side window is closed without the automatic reversing function.
The key battery is weak or discharged.
Check the battery using the battery indicator lamp and replace if necessary (

When opening or closing, make sure

that no body parts are in the sweep.
Release the button immediately if

somebody becomes trapped.
or
Press the button in any direction during

the automatic opening/closing process.
The opening/closing process is stop‐
ped.
