Tyre pressures will be displayed after a few

minutes of driving
Tyre pressure monitor

The tyre pressures are already being moni‐
tored.
Compare the tyre pressure with the recom‐
#
mended tyre pressure for the current operat‐
ing condition (
page 505). Observe the
notes on tyre temperature (
page 504).

The values displayed in the multifunction dis‐
play may deviate from those of the tyre pres‐
sure gauge as they refer to sea level. At high
altitudes, the tyre pressure values indicated
by a pressure gauge are higher than those
shown by the on-board computer. In this
case, do not reduce the tyre pressure.

Restarting the tyre pressure monitoring sys‐
tem
Requirements:
The recommended tyre pressure is correctly

set for the respective operating condition on
each of the four wheels (
page 504).
Restart the tyre pressure monitoring system in
the following situations:
The tyre pressure has changed.

The wheels or tyres have been changed or
R
newly fitted.

message is shown in the multi‐
function display.
Press a to confirm the restart.

Run Flat Indicator restarted
shown in the multifunction display.
Current warning messages are deleted and
the h yellow warning lamp goes out.
After you have driven for a few minutes, the
system checks whether the current tyre pres‐
sures are within the specified range. The cur‐
rent tyre pressures are then accepted as ref‐
erence values and monitored.
