484 Breakdown assistance
TIREFIT kit storage location
The TIREFIT kit is located under the boot floor.
Mercedes‑AMG vehicles: observe the notes in
the Supplement. Otherwise, you may fail to rec‐
ognise dangers.
Plug-in hybrid: observe the notes in the Supple‐
ment. Otherwise, you may fail to recognise dan‐
gers.

Tyre inflation compressor
You can find information on the power category
and/or electrical details on the back of the tyre
inflation compressor.
LK2 – 12 V/15A, 180 W, 0.8 kg
At a distance of approximately 1 m to the tyre
inflation compressor and approximately 1.6 m
above the ground, the following sound pressure
levels apply:

The tyre inflation compressor is maintenance-
free. If there is a malfunction, please contact a
qualified specialist workshop.
Using the TIREFIT kit
Requirements:
tyre sealant bottle

enclosed TIREFIT sticker
R
tyre inflation compressor
R
disposable gloves
R
You can use TIREFIT tyre sealant to seal perfora‐
tion damage of up to 4 mm, particularly those in
the tyre contact surface. You can use TIREFIT in
outside temperatures down to -20 °C.
& WARNING Risk of accident when using
tyre sealant
In the following situations, the tyre sealant is
unable to provide sufficient breakdown assis‐
tance, as it is unable to seal the tyre prop‐
erly:
there are cuts or punctures in the tyre
R
larger than those previously mentioned.
the wheel rim is damaged.
R
you have driven at very low tyre pres‐
R
sures or on a flat tyre.
Do not drive on.

& WARNING Risk of injury and poisoning
from tyre sealant
Tyre sealant is hazardous to health and cau‐
ses irritation. Do not allow it to come into
contact with your skin, eyes or clothing, and
do not swallow it. Do not inhale any vapours.
Keep the tyre sealant away from children.
