1.6 General Requirements for Operating the Devices

General requirements for the safe operation of the devices:
In commercial establishments, the accident prevention regulations of the respective country must be
observed.
The laboratory or classroom must be supervised by a person in charge of the work.
- A person responsible for work is a qualified electrician or an instructed electrician person with
knowledge of safety requirements and safety regulations with recorded instruction.
The laboratory or classroom must be equipped with the following facilities:
There must be an EMERGENCY STOP device
- within, and at least one Emergency Stop outside the laboratory or classroom.
The laboratory or classroom is to be protected against unauthorized switching on of the operating
voltage or compressed air supply:
- for example: key switch
- for example: lockable on-off valves.
The laboratory or classroom must be protected by residual current devices (RCD).
- RCCB with differential current ≤ 30 mA, type B.
The laboratory or classroom must be protected by overcurrent protection devices,
- fuses or circuit breakers
The laboratory or classroom must be supervised by a person in charge of the work.
- A person responsible for work is a qualified electrician or an instructed electrician person with
knowledge of safety requirements and safety regulations with recorded instruction.
Do not use devices with damage or defects.
- Damaged equipment must be locked and removed from the laboratory or classroom.
- Damaged connecting cables, compressed air hoses and hydraulic hoses are stopped.
Security risks must be removed from the laboratory or classroom.
