You can use the Setup menus to view information about your
system's hardware configuration. In general, the Setup
menus contain information on the following:
W Processor type and speed
W System memory
W Diskette, hard disk, and CD-ROM drives
W Serial and parallel ports
W Plug and Play options
W Startup options
W Model information
W Date and time settings
W Security options
W Power management options

Chapter 6: BIOS Setup configuration
Some of the parameters and related settings in Setup are for
reference only, such as those items in the System Summary,
Product Data and PC Health Status menus. Refer to the
section "Viewing system information and product data" on
page 6-5 for details on these menus.
The configurable options allow you to control how your
computer operates. For example, you can use Setup to:
W Configure hard disk, CD-ROM, or any other IDE drives
W Select and configure I/O devices, such as serial,
parallel, USB, and video devices
W Enable, disable, or configure the power-management
modes
W Customize startup options
W Set date and time
W Create or change a power-on password
W Enable or disable cache options and ROM shadowing
W Set resource assignments for PCI adapter cards and
other system devices
W Load Setup default settings
