1.0 Introduction Thank you for choosing Paradox Security Sys tems. Digiplex/ DigiplexNE Security System s are advanced technology s ec urity systems that will provide reliable security protection and powerful features that are easy to use. The elegant and us er-friendly LCD Keypad will allow easy access to the s ec urity sy stem's functions and information at the touch of a button.
2.0 Installation The LCD keypad (DG2P-641) is connected to the c ontrol panel's communication bus in a s tar and/or daisy c hain configuration. The 4-wire c ommunication bus provides power and two-w ay communication between the control panel and all modules connected to it.
2.2 P rogramm able O utput Each keypad has one on-board PGM. A PGM is a programmable output that toggles to its opposite state (i.e. a normally open PGM w ill clos e) when a s pecific event has occ urred in the system (refer to section 5.0 on page 17).

Option [2] ON= LCD screen will dis play Ex it Delay tim er. 4.4 Display Entry De la y Time r [003]: O EC TION PT ION Based on the user's needs, an Entry Delay Timer will be programmed to provide the user time to enter their User Access Code before the alarm is triggered.

The status of the areas, the open z ones for every area the keypad is assigned, the Alarm Memory Display (if nec es sary ) and the Trouble Display (if nec es sary. 4.7 Time Dis play O ption [003]: O EC TION PT ION The LC D keypad comes with a time display option that can dis play the date as year/month/day or as day/month/year. Option [8] OFF = D ate dis played as y y/mm/dd (default). Option [8] ON = D ate dis played as dd/mm/yy.
4.10 Chime on Zone Closure [004]: O EC TION PT ION During the Chime Zone Time Period that the us er s ets, the keypad c an emit an intermittent beep whenev er a zone w ith the Chim e feature enabled closes (s ee D igiplex or DigiplexNE Us er Manual for details on Chime Zones).

5.0 Programmable Output Options 5.1 P GM State [006]: O EC TION PT ION The keypad's on-board PGM c an be s et as normally open or normally closed. When an open PGM is ac tivated, it will close the circuit from ground and enable any dev ices connec ted to it.
5.3 P GM Ba se Tim e [006]: O EC TION PT ION If the keypad's on-board PGM is set in PGM Timed Mode (see section 5.2 on page 17) you must define whether the value programmed in s ection [008] is in minutes or s ec onds. Option [3] OFF = PGM Base Time is 1 s ec ond (default).
