Fluid Level

The correct fluid level is important for
the reliability of the compressor. The
fluid level is monitored by a sightglass
while the compressor is in operation. The
fluid level should be checked daily and
should be in the middle of the sightglass
(between 'minimum' & 'maximum') when
the compressor is running loaded. If a low
fluid level is observed, add enough fluid
to bring the fluid back to the proper level.
DO NOT OVER FILL. The correct fluid
capacity of QGV compressors is indicated
in the parts book supplied with the unit.
Caution!
To avoid damage to the compressor,
it is very important that the same type
of fluid be used when topping off the
fluid level in the compressor. Never
mix different types of fluid.
To top off the fluid level (add fluid):
• Turn the compressor off by the main
switch and perform proper lockout/
tagout procedure.
