Connecting DC Power
Redundant, hot-swappable DC power modules are located at the rear of the docking station.
The power up sequence can only begin when the tray is fully seated in the docking station.
This ensures that the main board does not power up until the system is properly seated.

Connecting to a Single DC Power Source

To connect a single external DC power source to the 2020 IMG:
1. Turn OFF (O) the existing external power source and disconnect it from the power
supply.
Warning! Failure to turn the power OFF at the source may result in electrical
shock.
2. Attach the wires from the external power source to the DC power module plug.
3. Insert the plug into the DC power module.
4. Reconnect the external power source and turn the power ON.
5. Press the ON button on the front of the 2020 IMG.

Connecting to a Redundant DC Power Source

To connect a redundant DC power source to the 2020 IMG, follow the procedure for
connecting to a single power source. If power needs to be removed from this product the
power cord must be disconnected therefore, the socket-outlet must be installed near
equipment and easily accessible.
Note: Do not turn off power to the primary -48 V DC module or the unit will shut down.

Power module
The DC power docking station provides DC power modules with two -
48 V DC feeds. Select either a single non-redundant power source or
dual, redundant power sources. The DC to DC power supply on the
tray provides control for dual hot-swappable, redundant power. For

Connect the external DC power source to the 2020 IMG at the DC
power module terminals. The DC power module must be wired directly
to a -48 V DC fused power source. To connect a power source to the
2020 IMG, use 14 - 16 AWG machine tool wire (MTW).The -48 V DC
power harness is supplied with the 2020 IMG. For more information,
