Alarm
Causes
Severity
Major
The actual frequency of the
grid is higher than or less than
the required value for the local
grid.
Major
The insulation resistance
against the ground for PV
strings is less than the
minimum value. The possible
causes are as follows:
A short circuit exists
between PV strings and
protection ground.
PV strings are installed in a
permanently moist
environment.
Major
The insulation resistance
against the ground at the input
side decreases during
SUN2000 operation, which
causes excessively high
residual current.
Major
The SUN2000 is installed
in a place with poor
ventilation.
The ambient temperature is
too high.
The internal fan is not
working.

Measures
1. If the alarm occurs accidentally,
possibly the power grid is
abnormal accidentally. The
SUN2000 automatically recovers
to the normal operating status
after the fault is rectified.
2. If the alarm occurs repeatedly,
check whether the grid frequency
is within the allowable range. If
no, contact the local power
operator. If yes, change the grid
overfrequency and
underfrequency protection points
on the SUN2000 APP, data
collector, or NMS after obtaining
approval from the local power
operator.
1. Check the insulation resistance
against the ground for the PV
strings. If a short circuit has
occurred, rectify the fault.
2. If the insulation resistance
against the ground is less than
the default value in a rainy
environment, set Insulation
resistance protection on the
SUN2000 APP, data collector, or
NMS.
1. If the alarm occurs accidentally,
possibly the external circuits are
abnormal accidentally. The
SUN2000 automatically recovers
to the normal operating status
after the fault is rectified.
2. If the alarm occurs repeatedly or
lasts a long time, check whether
the insulation resistance against
the ground of PC strings is too
low.
Check whether the ambient
temperature of the SUN2000
exceeds the upper limit. If yes,
improve ventilation to decrease the
temperature.
