Settings Confirmation Mode

In addition to normal printing mode, there is also a self test mode and hexadecimal dump mode
to check the various printer settings.

Self-test Mode

In self test mode, you can print the printer status and a rolling printout of installed characters.
When printing the printer status, you can check the following items.
• Control circuit functions
• Printer mechanism functions
• Printing quality
• Control software version
• DIP switch settings
• Memory switch settings
• Paper width settings
Run the Self-test Mode
Follow the steps below to run this mode.

Close the roll paper cover.

Press the FEED button on the control panel while turning the power on.
(Press and hold the FEED button until printing starts.)
The printer prints current status of the printer.
For a fixed IP address, printing will start in approximately 6 seconds; for automatically
acquired settings, printing will start in approximately 13 seconds. (More time might be
required, depending on the response time from the host.)
When printing is complete, the following message is printed, the PAPER LED flashes, and
the printer waits in test printing mode.
"If you want to continue SELF-TEST printing. Please press FEED button"

To perform a test printing, press the FEED button.
During test printing, a rolling pattern of installed characters is printed.
When printing is complete, "*** completed ***" is printed.
After the printer is initialized, it returns to normal printing mode.
