Connecting to the network

To connect to the network:

In the Watcher window, click 
Once you're connected to the network, Watcher displays 
"Connected," the amount of time you've been connected, and 
the amount of data received (Rx) and transmitted (Tx).

Viewing the amount of data transferred

Once you're connected to the network, Watcher shows the 
amount of data received (Rx) and transmitted (Tx).
Note: The information is not intended for billing purposes.
Once you end the connection, all numbers reset to zero.

Ending a connection

To end your network connection:

In the Watcher window, click 

Using SMS

SMS (Short Messaging Service) allows you to send and receive 
short messages (usually not more than 160 characters) through 
the network.
Note: Subject to feature availability; check with your service provider
to determine if you have access to this service.
To send/receive SMS messages, you must have
(page 28). SMS is temporarily unavailable, if you have
the modem
(page 36).
SMS messages sent to you are stored on the network when you 
are out of coverage. Once you have service, the messages are 
transferred to your computer.
Determining whether you have new SMS
messages
When you have new SMS messages, a number is displayed 
next to the Watcher icon
indicates how many new (unread) SMS messages you have.
