Master Equalizer

S9 is provided of an useful Master Equalizer. You can adjust Low Gain,
Middle Frequencies, Middle Gain and High gain to obtain the best possible
sound when listening through an external reproduction system or adapt
the sound response of a room.

Real Time Control

You can adjust the master equalizer parameters by the draw-faders. To do
this:

Press at the same time the [MIXER] and the [MIDI CTRL]
buttons.
Now the last four draw-faders are assigned to the parameters of
equalizer.

Move one of the draw-faders to adjust the desired
parameter.
The following temporary window is shown:

Use the other draw-faders to choose the best
equalization.

see "MASTER EQ" (p. 63).

Press at the same time the [MIXER] and the [MIDI CTRL]
buttons again to leave this ambient.

Master Equalizer Adjusting

The equalizer give you the possibility to boosting or reducing the
low-frequency or high-frequency range of the sound. Adjust the
Master EQ parameters to reach the best possible sound when
listening through different reproduction systems, headphones, or
an external speaker system.

Access the "MASTER EQ" page by the [MENU] button

Master Equalizer Preset

S9 comes with some Presets that can be handy in particular situations or a
good way to get you started. You might want to start with a preset, then
customize it until it is just right and save it in the user area.

From the "MASTER EQ" page press the "PRESET" Function
button.

Use the [DATA ENTRY] knob or the [], [] buttons to
select the desired preset.

Explanation
Use this parameter to set the
level of the high frequency.
Positive values boost
(increase) the volume of that
frequency. Negative values cut
(attenuate) it.
This parameter allows you to
set the cutoff frequency of the
high band.
This parameter allows you to
set the cutoff frequency of the
middle band.
Use this parameter to set
the level of the selected MID
frequency. Positive values
boost (increase the volume
of ) that frequency. Negative
values cut (attenuate) it.
Move this parameter to
adjusts the width of the area
around the Middle frequency
that will be affected by the
Gain setting.
Higher values of Mid Q set
narrowest area
Use this parameter to
set the level of the low
frequency. Positive values
boost (increase) the volume
of that frequency. Negative
values cut (attenuate) it.
This parameter allows you to
set the cutoff frequency of the
low band.
