Safety note
WARNING
Work performed incorrectly on the vehicle
paintwork can cause the radar sensors to fail or
malfunction, resulting in a safety risk. There is a
danger of accidents or damage to property. For
vehicles with radar sensors, only have paint‐
work or paint repairs on the bumpers carried
out by a Service Partner of the manufacturer or
another qualified Service Partner or a specialist
workshop.
Matt paintwork
Only use cleaning and care products that are
suitable for vehicles with matt paintwork.
Care of the convertible top
General
The appearance and lifetime of the convertible
top depend on proper care and operation
Observe the following notes:
▷ Use a microfibre cloth to clean the roof lining.
Lightly moisten the cloth with water, if neces‐
sary.
▷ Do not soak the roof lining.
▷ To avoid water stains, spots of mould and
chafe marks, do not keep the convertible top
enclosed in its compartment for an extended
period of time. Do not fold up the convertible
top or stow it in its compartment when it is
wet or frozen.
▷ If any water stains appear on the roof lining,
remove them using a microfibre cloth and an
interior cleaner.
▷ For long periods of storage in enclosed
rooms, ensure adequate ventilation.
▷ Park the vehicle in the shade to protect
against intensive solar radiation, so that paint,
rubber and textiles fibres are not affected.

General care
▷ Remove bird droppings immediately, other‐
wise the corrosive effect attacks the
convertible top and damages the rubber
seals.
▷ Remove dried-on tree resin or bird droppings
from the roof with a special tree resin re‐
mover and a soft brush.
Safety note
NOTE
Stain removers, paint thinners, solvents, petrol
and similar substances may damage the
convertible top or the rubber. There is a danger
of damage to property. Only use suitable clean‐
ers, for example special convertible top clean‐
ers, to remove stains from the convertible top.
Cleaning the convertible top
For stubborn dirt, and particularly with light-col‐
oured convertible tops, use a special convertible
top cleaning agent.
For cleaning, proceed as follows:
1. Spray the convertible top cleaner onto the
convertible top. Observe the manufacturer's
instructions.
2. Foam up the convertible top cleaner with a
wet sponge, using circular movements.
3. Rinse the vehicle with plenty of water or finish
by washing the vehicle in a vehicle wash.
Comply with the instructions for automatic
vehicle washes or automatic washing lanes.
After three to five washes, treat the convertible
top with impregnating agent.
Suitable cleaning and care products are available
from a Service Partner of the manufacturer or an‐
other qualified Service Partner or a specialist
workshop.
Leather care
Remove dust from the leather at regular intervals
with a cloth or vacuum cleaner.
