Section 6 - MAINTENANCE
REMEDY
Defective discharge temperature switch; check for
a short or open circuit to probe and correct wiring.
Check service lines for leaks or open valves.
Check filter and change element if required.
Adjust regulator according to control adjustment
instructions in Maintenance Section.
A normally open solenoid must energize to load
compressor; check for proper operation.
Repair solenoid valve (see Section 6).
Check for leaks.
Check that diaphragm and contacts are not dam-
aged. Replace if necessary.
Inspect inlet valve and insure free operation (see
Section 6).
Remove element cover and clean orifice.
Change separator element.
Drain and change.
Drain excess.
Replace shaft seal.
See Symptom "Line Pressure Rises Above Cut-
out Pressure Setting on Pressure Switch" above.
Remove the water vapor from compressed air
prior to distribution through the air system. Check
operation of aftercooler and moisture separator.
Install a compressed air dryer sized for the flow
and dryness level required. (Note: Filters may also
be required to remove particulates, liquid oil aero-
sols or for oil vapor removal. Change cartridges as
recommended by the filter manufacturer.) Check
all drain traps routinely to insure their proper oper-
ation. Maintain them regularly.
