Single or Dual Tailwheel Installation (MTD)

1. Tailwheel arm assembly

4. 3/4 x 2--1/4" Bolt
5. 3/4" Hex locknut

Single Tailwheel Installation (MTD) (Figure

Attach adjustment braces (2) to lower holes of center
brackets at rear of cutter with bolt (4) and nut (5) as
shown.
Attach tailwheel arm assembly (1) to lugs at rear center
of cutter frame with clevis pin (3) and cotter pins (8) as
shown.
Install bolt (7) through hole in adjustment brace (2) and
holes in tailwheel arm, and secure with nut (6).
Final adjustment will be necessary when cutter is
mounted on tractor.
Dual Tailwheel Installation (MTD) (Figure
31)
Attach adjustment braces (2) to lower holes of center
and outside brackets at rear of cutter with bolt (4) and
nut (5) as shown.
Attach tailwheel arm assembly (1) to lugs at rear right
or left side of cutter frame with clevis pin (3) and cotter
pins (8) as shown.
Install bolt (7) through hole in adjustment brace (2) and
holes in tailwheel arm, and secure with nut (60.
Final adjustment will be necessary when cutter is
mounted on tractor.
