About This Motherboard
The X11DPU-XLL motherboard supports dual Intel
Intel
Xeon Scalable-SP processors (socket P) with a TDP (Thermal Design Power) of up to
®
205W and an Ultra Path Interconnect (UPI) of up to 10.4 GT/s (Note 1 below). With the Intel
C621 PCH built-in, this motherboard supports up to 4TB DDR4 3DS LRDIMM/LRDIMM/3DS
RDIMM/RDIMM/NVDIMM ECC 2933*/2666/2400/2133 MHz memory in 16 memory slots
(Note 2 below). It also supports fourteen SATA 3.0 connections, fi ve USB 3.0 ports, and one
SAS 3.0 Ultra add-on module. The X11DPU-XLL is optimized for CPU encoding, decoding and
rendering, and is ideal for use in High-Frequency Trading servers, software license servers,
and remote workstations. Please note that this motherboard is intended to be installed and

Note: 1. UPI and memory speeds are dependent on the processors installed in your

Chapter 1 describes the features, specifi cations, and performance of the motherboard, and
provides detailed information on the Intel C621 chipset.
Chapter 2 provides hardware installation instructions. Read this chapter when installing the
processor, memory modules, and other hardware components into the system.
Chapter 3 describes troubleshooting procedures for video, memory, and system setup stored
in the CMOS.
Chapter 4 includes an introduction to the BIOS, and provides detailed information on running
the CMOS Setup utility.
Appendix A provides BIOS Error Beep Codes.
Appendix B lists software program installation instructions.
Appendix C lists standardized warning statements in various languages.
Appendix D provides UEFI BIOS Recovery instructions.
