SIM card requirements

For the application of the gACC-499E/U it is necessary to use a SIM card on which at least GSM is enabled.
To easily provide the device with updates it's recommended to enable GPRS and SMS also. With a SMS an
update can be triggered which retrieves the update file from a server, which is specified with an URL in the
config file.

Inputs

4.2.1

Encoder

The gACC-499E/U is equipped with an encoder input based on NAMUR (IEC60947-5-6). All available
encoders with a NAMUR output and equipped with the minimum of an a-telegram can be connected. If there
is a b-telegram available, this can also be read out. After switching on the gACC-499E/U during the start-up
procedure an a-telegram and also a b-telegram is read out. Hereafter this information is directly available for
calling through IEC62056-21 as "billing data".
4.2.3

Uniwire

The gACC-499E/U is equipped with an Uniwire input to communicate with a Flonidan gAVC 1200. The
UniWire port is a 2-wire communication port which also can be applied as "Multi drop". In the gACC-499E/U
2 MODBUS addresses can be used.
4.2.4

Temperature (optional)

The gACC-499E/U can be optionally equipped with a temperature input for a special serial semiconductor
sensor. This optional sensor is available as a 2- or 3 wire sensor. The sensor is fitted with a silicone cable
with a length of 3 meters. It is also possible to connect this sensor at a later time. The temperature sensor is
from the perspective of ATEX (IEC 60079-11 par. 5.7) as "simple apparatus" declared. The temperature
sensor may not be placed in the gas stream but must be placed in a so-called thermowell.
4.2.5

Pulses

The gACC-499E/U is equipped with a pulse input to which a potential free contact of the gas meter can be
connected. The pulses are summed and at the time of transmission the actual index value will be
transmitted. The index value can be synchronized with the corresponding meter. This connection is only
available if Zener Barrier Channel 4 is assembled, This may not have been done in every case.
4.3

Battery connections

There are 6 battery connectors divided into 2 groups. Group 1 is for main power and Group 2 is for back-up
and powering the clock. Group 1 has the connectors 1-1; 1-2; 1-3 and 1-4. The connectors is a group have
the same function and make it possible to use multiple batteries in a parallel traction. It also provides the
possibility to change batteries without interrupting the normal operation. Group 2 has 2 connectors 2-1 and
2-2, and also has the possibility to run parallel. In the config file of the gACC-499E/U the time of a battery
alarm is determined by a parameter. It is important to keep a ratio of 1:1 or 2:1 on the battery packs. The
power supply of the clock is guarenteed even if all the DIP-switches are switched OFF.
The parameter "battlifeoffset="6" indicates that a battery alarm will appear 6 months before the end of the life
span of Bat1. This alarm will be displayed in the "billing data" telegram and also in the "load profile" with
OBIS code 97.97.0 (00000000).
