Writing a configuration file
The operation of the gACC-499E/U is determined by a configuration file. This configuration file will be written
into the memory of the modem. For this the configuration program"gACC-499 configuration" is used.
Procedure:
Always read the existing configuration first by using the Read "1" button.
1.
To write a file into the modem the server type must be set to "Local". Button "2" will then be
2.
active and a path to the file that needs to be written into the modem can be chosen. After the file
is selected the server type must be put back in its proper position. This file type is XML and can
be modified by using a simple editor (WordPad, notepad). The extension of the config file is .cfg
The config file can be written into the modem by using the button "3" Write configuration into the
3.
modem.
4.
Created or read configurations can be saved and used again later. The same applies for the
modem settings such as provider name. To save the settings into a file use button "4" Save as
file... and with button "5" Load from file...saved files can be loaded again.
3
With button "6" Download log... the log files can read from the modem (only if internal logging is
5.
activated. Normally this is disabled) and with button "7" Download cache... the internal archive
can be read from the modem. The archive is a csv file and can be loaded directly into a
spreadsheet program.
