16. Install the fuel supply hose on the carburetor using
the clamp.

17. Pull the choke cable knob out completely; then hold
the butterfly closed in the carburetor. Tighten the set
screw to 6 in.-lb.

18. Place the gasket, air cleaner assembly, and plate into
position on the carburetor; then secure with the
flanged nuts. Tighten to 96 in.-lb.

19. Secure the air cleaner cover to the air cleaner with
the screws. Tighten to 30-36 in.-lb.

20. Install the exhaust gasket onto the studs of the
engine; then install the muffler assembly over the
studs. Secure using a new lock washer, existing nuts,
and springs. Tighten the nuts to 60 in.-lb; then using
a medium sized needle nose pliers, bend the best fit-
ting tabs tight against the nuts.
NOTE: The long tab on the lock washer should be

installed toward the front of the snowmobile and bent
all the way over the nut.

 NOTE: Before installing the drive clutch, be sure to
wipe both the crankshaft taper and clutch mounting
taper clean using a clean towel.
21. Install the spacer onto the crankshaft; then install the
drive clutch assembly onto the shaft.
