Installation 3.4.9 Using Compact Flash memory cards To operate the controller CECX-K-D1, a Compact Flash memory card with the appropriate firmware and if applicable application must be inserted in the Compact Flash plug-in slot. The memory card can be used to store machine data (e.g. tool data and recipes) depend- ing on the application used.

    Operating errors in connection with the CTRL key can cause system errors and lead to loss of data. Only press the CTRL key on the instruction of Festo service per- sonnel. The CTRL key is located on the central modules beside the 7-segment display. Using this key, the service technician can, for example, generate report files, clear retain data or if necessary switch the controller into different operating states.
