Note: The FX30S must be installed by a qualified technician.

Step 1—Insert the SIM Card and Optional
IoT Card
The Sierra Wireless FX30S has one mini-SIM (2FF) card slot.
If the SIM card has not already been installed, insert the SIM card into the gateway
before connecting any external equipment or power to the FX30S.

#1 Phillips screwdriver
Laptop computer
AC adapter or DC power cable
micro-B USB cable
Cellular antenna
Optional:
· GNSS antenna
· 9-pin connection cable for the RS232 port
Insert the SIM card and optional IoT Expansion
Mount and ground the FX30S.
Connect the antennas.
Connect the data cables.
Connect the power and I/O.
Check the FX30S operation.
Use the FX30S.
