Using this manual Precautions on camcorder care •The LCD screen and the viewfinder are manufactured using high-precision technology. However, there may be some tiny black points and/or bright points (red, blue, green, or white) that constantly appear on the LCD screen and in the viewfinder.

Step 1 Preparing the power supply To remove the battery pack The battery pack is removed in the same way as the battery terminal cover. After installing the battery pack Do not carry your comcorder by holding the battery pack. If you do so, the battery pack may slide off your camcorder unintentionally, damaging your camcorder.

For example, you can satisfactorily record the environment of nocturnal animals for observation when you use this function. Audio dubbing You can record an audio sound to add to the original sound on a tape by connecting audio equipment or a microphone. If you connect the audio equipment, you can add sound to your recorded tape by specifying starting and ending points. The original sound will not be erased.

Notes •When you dub an audio sound with the external microphone, check the recorded picture and sound by connecting the AUDIO/VIDEO jack to a TV. The recorded sound is not output from the speaker.
