Network Requirements A switched network topology is recommended for your LAN (using standard 10/100 or 10/100/1000 Ethernet switches). The office LAN infrastructure should use Cat.-5 (or better) cable for 10/100, and Cat.-6 for 10/100/1000. The LAN connections to the devices(s) should all be wired. However, wireless connections to other devices (such as laptops) in your office will not impede performance.
