9.3 Signals to axis
Note:
If the servo enable signal is cancelled (e.g. to clamp the axis) and the controller is subsequent-
ly enabled again, the axis is returned to its position when the servo enable is cancelled to
compensate for any change in position caused by mechanical or electrical influences.
Setup modes
1 signal:
Closes position control loop of the relevant axis.
0 signal:
1. With the axis stationary, the position control loop is opened.
2. If the axis is in motion, rapid deceleration is effected.
The drive is brought to a standstill with maximum braking current and the
position control loop opened after the time delay set by machine data has run

Only actual values are carried (follow-up mode).
Notes:
A following error remaining after rapid deceleration remains stored and is eliminated
following a renewed servo enable.
An NC alarm is output if the servo enable is cancelled while an axis is in motion.
During normal operation the servo enable signals must be present for all axes to be moved
with interpolation.
