Refer to the Figures.1–3.and the following descriptions to
become familiar with the basic controls and components
of this machine. Understanding these items and how they
work will help you understand the rest of the manual and
stay safe when operating this machine.
A.. Spindle.Speed.Tachometer: Indicates spindle speed
in revolutions per minute (RPM).
B.. Emergency.Stop.Button: Stops spindle rotation.
Twist clockwise to reset.
C.. Reset.Button: Enables spindle rotation after
Emergency Stop button has been disengaged or
power has been lost.
D.. Speed.Control.Knob: Adjusts spindle speed from
low to high within range governed by pulley belt
position.
E.. Spindle.Direction.Switch: Toggles spindle direction
between forward (FWD) and reverse (REV).
F.. Headstock.Lock.Lever:.Secures headstock in
position along bed.
G.. Belt.Tension.Lock.Handle: Locks belt tension lever
in place.
H.. Belt.Tension.Lever: Increases and decreases amount
of tension on belt.
I.. Spindle.Lock: Locks spindle in place for indexing
operations.
