3.3 Adjusting Text Input and Keyboard Settings
On any of the keyboard layouts, touch
settings.
•
Full QWERTY, Phone keypad, and Compact QWERTY Touch one of the
keyboard layout options to use it.
•
Full QWERTY prediction Select to enable the word prediction feature when
using the Full QWERTY keyboard.

More settings Touch to access more text input and keyboard settings. See
"More text input & keyboard settings" for details.

Keyboard types Touch to select the keyboard layout to use.
•
Keyboard language Touch to set the character keyboard layout and the
suggested word list to match the selected language.
•
Text input Touch to set text input options.
Full QWERTY
•
Prediction Select to enable the word prediction feature when using the
Full QWERTY.
•
Spell correction Select to correct typographical errors by selecting from
a list of possible words that reflect the characters of the keys you have
touched as well as characters of nearby keys.
•
Press 'Space' to accept suggestion Select to give you the option of
touching Space (instead of touching the suggested word) on the on-
screen keyboard to accept the suggested spelling correction word.
The Text input & keyboard settings screen can also be accessed by pressing
HOME > MENU and then touching Settings. In the Settings screen, touch
Keyboard.
