Phone keypad & Compact QWERTY
Spell correction Select to correct typographical errors by selecting from
a list of possible words that reflect the characters of the keys you have
touched as well as characters of nearby keys.
Word completion When using the Compact QWERTY or Phone
keypad, lets you select from a list of possible combinations based on the
characters that appear on the keys that you touched.
Finger touch precision
Calibration tool Touch to re-calibrate the on-screen keyboard touch
accuracy. Re-calibrate the keyboard if you feel that the on-screen
keyboard keys are not responding accurately to your touches.
Reset calibration Touch to reset the calibration back to factory default.
Other settings
Sound feedback Select to make a clicking sound whenever you touch a
key on the on-screen keyboard or an item on the menu.
Vibration feedback Select to enable haptic feedback whenever you
touch a key on the on-screen keyboard or an item on the menu.
Internal settings Touch to set advanced keyboard settings.
Bias correction Select to have the phone automatically correct words
that you often use (words that are not in the dictionary) when you
mistype it.
Note
Bias correction is different from Spell correction option.
Animation hint Select to show a fade out animation for the hint box
when it disappears.
Show hint Select to show a hint box that displays the key that was
touched whenever you touch a key on the keyboard. This makes it easier
for you to know if you touched the key you wanted to touch or not.
