44 Phone Basics
1.9 Applications
The Applications tab holds all applications on your phone. All applications that
you downloaded and installed from the Android Market or from the web are also
added to the Applications tab.
To open the Applications tab
Press HOME, then touch
The following applications are pre-installed on your phone:

Alarm Clock Set as many alarms as you want. You can set alarms for
appointments, events, and more. See "Alarm Clock" in Chapter 5.
Browser Browse web and WAP sites, and download new programs and files from
the Internet. See "Browser" in Chapter 7.
Calculator Perform basic and advanced arithmetic calculations, such as addition,
subtraction, multiplication, division, logarithms and more.
Calendar Create events and appointments and keep track of your activities in
daily, weekly, and monthly calendars. See Chapter 5 for details.
Camera Take pictures using the phone's camera and share them via e-mail or
MMS. See Chapter 9 for details.
Contacts Keep track of your friends and colleagues. Create new contacts or
import contacts stored on your SIM card. See Chapter for details.
Dialer Make and receive calls, switch between calls, and set up conference calling.
See Chapter for details.
Gmail Create and send e-mails from your phone using your Gmail account. See
Chapter 6 for details.
IM Chat with family and friends using Google Talk on your phone. See Chapter 6
for details.
