A message appears informing you that the
search on the mobile phone can be started.

Mobile phone: start the search for a Blue-
®
tooth
device (see the manufacturer's oper-
ating instructions).
The multimedia system appears under the
name "MB Bluetooth" in the mobile phone's
device list.

Select "MB Bluetooth".
A prompt appears in the multimedia system's
display asking if the mobile phone should be
authorised.
X
Multimedia system: select Yes.
No
If
is selected, the process is cancelled.
If your mobile phone supports Secure Simple
Pairing, a code now appears on both devices.
The code is the same

Multimedia system: select Yes.

Mobile phone: confirm the code. Depending
on the mobile phone used, you may have to
confirm the connection to the multimedia sys-
tem and for the PBAP and MAP Bluetooth
profiles. The display of the confirmation query
can be delayed by up to two minutes. If nec-
essary, you can save the confirmation on the
mobile phone (see the manufacturer's oper-
ating instructions).
The mobile phone is now authorised and con-
nected to the multimedia system. You can
now phone using the hands-free system.
The code is different

Multimedia system: select No.
The process is cancelled. Repeat the proce-
dure.
If your mobile phone does not support Secure
Simple Pairing, an input menu for the passkey
appears. The passkey is a one to sixteen-digit
number which you can set yourself. Enter the
same passkey into both the multimedia system
and the mobile phone and confirm. Depending
on the mobile phone used, you may have to con-
firm the connection to the multimedia system
and for the PBAP and MAP Bluetooth
Reconnecting automatically
The multimedia system always searches for the
last connected mobile phone.
If no connection can be made to the most
recently connected mobile phone, the system

Switching between mobile phones
If you have authorised more than one mobile
phone, you can switch between the individual
phones.

troller.

Select the desired mobile phone.
The selected mobile phone is searched for
and connected if it is within Bluetooth

and if Bluetooth
is activated.
Only one mobile phone can be connected at any
one time. The currently connected mobile
phone is indicated by the # dot in the device list.

You can only switch to another authorised
mobile phone if you are not currently making
a call.
De-authorising a mobile phone (discon-
necting)
Mercedes-Benz recommends de-authorisation
in the multimedia system as well as on the
mobile phone. Subsequent authorisation may
otherwise fail.

Press the % button.

Show the menu bar by sliding 6 the con-
troller.

Connect device
Select
ing the controller.

Select the desired mobile phone in the device
list by turning the controller.

Select G by sliding 9 the controller.

De-authorise
Select

A prompt appears asking whether you really
wish to de-authorise this device.

Select Yes.
The mobile phone is de-authorised.

Before re-authorising the mobile phone, you
should also delete the device name
