A warning tone also sounds.
At least one of the following driving systems or driving safety systems
is temporarily restricted or inoperative:
COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST
R
Blind Spot Assist
R
DISTRONIC PLUS
R
Possible causes:
The sensors in the radiator trim and/or in the bumpers are dirty.
R
The function of the driving system and/or driving safety system is
R
impaired due to heavy rain or snow.
Once the causes listed above no longer apply, the display message
goes out and the driving systems/driving safety systems are opera-
tional again.
If the display message does not disappear:
X
Pull over and stop the vehicle, paying attention to road and traffic
conditions.
X
Secure the vehicle against rolling away (
X
Switch off the engine.
X
Clean the sensors in the following locations (
in the radiator trim
R
in the front bumper
R
in the rear bumper
R
While depressing the accelerator pedal beyond the pressure point
(kickdown), SPEEDTRONIC cannot be activated.
X
If conditions permit, drive faster than 30 km/h and store the speed.
You depress the accelerator pedal beyond the pressure point. Whilst
you are accelerating, SPEEDTRONIC does not control the speed.
X
Release the accelerator pedal. SPEEDTRONIC is reactivated and
limits the speed.
Lane Keeping Assist is faulty.
X
Visit a qualified specialist workshop.
